About me

I’m a writer and producer for CNN.com’s Health section. As a multimedia journalist for the site, I write stories and blog posts, take and edit photos,  and plan in-depth interactive projects. I also run our Twitter feed @CNNHealth.

I haven’t always worked with the CNN Medical Unit. I introduced live tweeting to CNN.com when I covered the 2009 Oscars in Los Angeles from the red carpet. I took photographs at Michael Jackson’s funeral. I’ve written about light-hearted subjects like daily deal sites and America’s obsession with country music. I’ve also covered child prostitution in Georgia and tourist deaths in Asia.

I’ve had the opportunity to interview many interesting during my time at CNN: Allison Janney, Chris Rock, Simon Cowell, Paul Ruddand Michael Cera to name a few. But the stories I enjoy writing the most are about people like Michelle, a cancer survivor who’s struggling with the long-term side effects of her treatment; or Teddy, a Special Olympics floor hockey player who lost more than 50 pounds before the 2013 Winter Games.

Please take the time to check out my resume and examples of my work. If you have any story tips please send them my way!
